“Julie Features in 'Songlines' Magazine Podcast & in Intimate/Unique Concert!”

Released on 14 March 2014, this latest ‘Songlines’ Podcast on iTunes, includes highlights from the April/May 2014 issue of the superb ‘Songlines’ Magazine (No.99); opening with 3 tracks from Julie’s newly released 4th Studio album ‘Gach sgeul’ (‘Every story’).

“Julie to Return to Stirling as Part of her ‘New Album’ UK Tour 2014 ”

Tickets have gone on sale today, for what is sure to be another great concert within Julie’s already highly acclaimed new album UK Tour 2014*.

Although Julie will be performing close to the historic town of Stirling as part of the exciting ‘Bannockburn Live’ event which takes place on 28 – 29 June 2014, she is delighted to be returning to the town’s Albert Halls on Saturday 27 September 2014 (7.30pm) as part of her 2014 UK Tour.  Throughout the Tour, Julie and her band, will be performing songs and tunes from her newly released 4th studio album 'Gach sgeul' (‘Every story’); as well as many more from previous highly acclaimed and award winning albums. With Special Guests; including good friend and World renowned Uist piper, Fred Morrison; this will be yet another night not to be missed!

“Further Concert/Festival Dates Announced for Julie - including ‘Commonwealth Connections’ with Nicola Benedetti”

Just as Julie and her band, play the final concert of a highly successful 1st leg of her new album (‘Gach sgeul’) UK Tour tonight at the Kendal Brewery Arts Centre, we are pleased to be able to announce 3 further special concert dates for her; as follows:-

‘Commonwealth Connections’ with Nicola Benedetti:

As Glasgow puts the final touches to preparations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, a taste of Scotland will be taken to the City of London.  This ‘Commonwealth Connections’ concert will see superstar violinist, Nicola Benedetti, return to the City of London Festival accompanied by and collaborating with some of Scotland’s top traditional musicians including Julie, Phil Cunningham, Duncan Chisholm, Tony Byrne, Eamon Doorley, Ewen Vernal and James Mackintosh.  All of whom joined her in an amazing highly acclaimed Gala Opening Concert at this year’s ‘Celtic Connections’ festival in Glasgow in January.

Set in the magnificent Guildhall Great Hall, London, the awe-inspiring and iconic splendour of the venue will make this exclusive concert truly unique.  The day/date is Monday 14 July 2014 at 7.30pm.  Ticket sale details are as follows:  Festival supporters' priority booking opened on Tuesday 8 April and general booking opens on Tuesday 15 April 2014.  See the following link and Julie’s ‘Tour Dates’ page for full concert and ticket details:

 

Festival de Interceltique Lorient:

 

Julie will be performing another unique concert at this premier Celtic Festival set in beautiful Lorient, Brittany, France.

“Julie Kick Starts ‘New Album’ Tour and Features/Presents on BBC Radio 2 ”

What a fantastic week ahead for Julie...................

2014 UK Tour:

Kicking off her 2014 Tour schedule, Julie will be performing music and songs from her already highly acclaimed new album, 'Gach sgeul’ (‘Every story'), in selected venues in England this week and in May; with her band which comprises long standing comrades Éamon Doorley, Duncan Chisholm and Tony Byrne.  Julie and the band are all excited to be performing the new album material and hope to see many fans at the shows this coming week and in May.  Here is a brief listing of the dates and venues:

“Julie to Play Scotland’s Capital within 2014 UK Tour!”
